Things to Do in Kissimmee
Hey girlfriend! I had the opportunity to visit Kissimmee, Florida, also known as the Vacation Home Capital of the World. This post will talk about things to do in Kissimmee, where there are over 50,000 vacation homes and over 200 dining options! I had no clue there were so many things to do in Kissimmee. If you’re planning a trip to visit Disney World or one of the other theme and water parks in the area you should research Kissimmee.
There are things to do in Kissimmee even for adults, with these tips you can plan a vacation with your partner, family, or even a girls trip! You may be wondering why it’s the Vacation Home Capital of the World. Watch the video below to tour a luxury mansion available to rent through Jeeves Florida Rentals. With hidden game rooms, themed bedrooms, and a heated pool this house is perfect for large groups. Just outside of Reunion Resort, where this home is located is Champions Gate, which has lots of food and drink options. It’s so easy to get to Kissimmee being that it’s only 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport and easily accessible by 3 major highways.
During the holiday season there are plenty of themed events to choose from. I had the opportunity to experience the Night of a Million Lights. Held at Island H2O Water Park, it’s a lightscape of spectacular sparkle and mesmerizing dancing lights complete with music performances, themed light shows, plenty of photo opportunities, and there’s even snow! There’s also a bar for adult beverages. My favorite part were the decorated trees done by sponsors of Give Kids the World Village. This is an 89-acre, nonprofit resort that provides critically ill children and their families from around the world with the vacation of a lifetime. The light show runs through January 1st, 2023 so you still have time to visit.
While you are looking for things to do in Kissimmee, you must add a visit to ICE! It’s a world class show held at the Gaylord Palms in nearby Orlando. It’s an exhilarating experience of life size ice sculptures carved by Chinese ice architects. The room is set at 9 degrees fahrenheit and they provide every guest with their signature blue parkas. Two million pounds of ice are used for this exhibit. I highly recommend donning warm winter boots, layered clothing, gloves, and a scarf! It’s truly a fun and exciting experience for all ages. I had so much fun on the ice slide! There’s a gift shop with lots of goodies too.
Salt and Cellar Review
If you’re looking for things to do in Kissimmee for adults let me tell you about the Ette Hotel. It’s a brand new resort with a focus on luxury and wellness with a chef driven on-site restaurant. Chef Akira Back is a Michelin starred chef whose goal is to provide a unique experience to connect food, personality, and life. What makes this hotel so special is that the restaurant, Salt and Cellar, does not serve alcoholic beverages. Instead there are carefully curated mocktails with an emphasis on presentation and quality ingredients. Ingredients are well thought out and blended so well you won’t miss the alcohol but if you insist–you are more than welcome to bring in a bottle and they will prepare it for you. As a courtesy, there’s no corkage fee.
